Youth Science Communication Workshop

Pittsburgh Summer 2024

What are Youth Science Communication Workshops?

Youth Science Communication Workshops provide middle school students an ingress into environmental science and digital composing. Over the course of a single day, our participants investigate a topic, gather image and sound data, and then use basic HTML coding to communicate and circulate their findings. At the end of the day, our participants return home with a project link they can share with family and friends. In our session, participants will:

  • explore nature or investigate a topic
  • gather image and sound data
  • develop a webtext using HTML
  • inform environmental policy
  • And best of all...It's Free!
